WE ACHIEVE THE ZERO LANDFILL MARK!

One of our success stories is the project of reverse logistics and circular economy with iFood. In December 2019, we started the project with the purpose of collecting all old and in poor condition backpacks from iFood partners throughout Brazil and sending them to an environmentally suitable destination, thus preventing them from being improperly disposed of in the environment.

TOWARDS A CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Part of the challenge of this reverse logistics project is the search for alternatives for the reinsertion of used backpacks in the production chain, closing the cycle in a circular economy. One of the possibilities is the manufacture of new products such as bags and bags with textile residue and that is what iFood’s “Já Fui Bag” project is based on.

THE HIDDEN STORY OF THE "JÁ FUI BAG" PROJECT

For the planning and monitoring of this giant project, two of the companies in our Hub are involved: Greening and GreenPlat.

Consultancy responsible for structuring the project, continuous monitoring of all fronts and searching for the best alternatives for waste recovery considering each of the realities found in our country.

In addition, it is GreeningHub's waste manager, responsible for all collections and destinations in the project.

Online platform used for waste management and reverse logistics monitoring. Through it, the iFood team can follow all the movement of its waste throughout Brazil in just a few clicks. GreenPlat also assists iFood in providing legal assistance and in controlling the documentation of its suppliers.
